Goose have named Cotter Ellis as their new drummer.
Ellis, a Vermont native who previously played in the group Swimmer, replaces co-founder Ben Atkind, who departed back in December.
The band posted a 30 minute video of them playing with Ellis that they say was "the last session with Cotter before we asked him to join the band." Check it out on YouTube.
Goose have also released their first new music with Ellis. The Ted Tapes 2024 is a series of nine jams that range from 10 to 35 minutes that they say are "different improvisational moments from early sessions with Cotter. They were recorded solely for the purpose of reference, not intended for any kind of release."
